I got around to spending some time trying to use some of the new features in a real map this weekend. As it happens, our Cacti server still uses PHP4, which always shows up some good bugs too. Between those, I smoothed off a few edges. I wish PHP4 would just die though - having it change from pass-by-reference back to pass-by-value between versions is pretty irritating.
Anyway, it's a little bit closer to reality now. I still have a chunk of manual to write, and there are still some rough edges. There are a few things that will now wait for the next (0.91?) release - Nagios support, the new editor, probably SNMP support, Boost/Cacti-native support. Then again, that shouldn't take another 10 months!

Uh .. should I asked it or not ???
Small question: is there already a sneak previeuw of the 0.9 version or a beta version?
Cheers

I do post details of test versions on the mailing list from time to time. I don't post much about them here because I want to avoid supporting them :-)
The main stuff left to do in 0.9 is manual-writing now, and a short list of bugs/changes. There will be one more batch of testing and then a 0.9 release, I hope. Join the mailing list if you'd like to help with the testing!
